WATTHOUR SolarBuddys – energy to go.

The new WATTSTUNDE® SolarBuddy combines the lightness of solar bags with the robustness of solar suitcases and provides you with flexible power – exactly where you need it.

The solar module to take with you:

A solar bag is a foldable solar module. It consists of one or more solar panels embedded in a fabric bag. The advantage over a built-in solar system is obvious.
The solar bag can be placed flexibly in the sun as needed and does not have to be permanently mounted on the vehicle.
The days of having to park your RV or car inconveniently in the sun are numbered. You can now park comfortably in the shade and still soak up the sun. Whether in the garden, camping, or on the boat - wherever there's no power outlet, there's now always electricity!

Even without a charge controller – always ready for use:

Of course, the SolarBuddy is most powerful when used in conjunction with a charge controller and a battery to store the generated energy.
Since a battery and charge controller aren't always available for recreational use, we've equipped our Solar Buddy with two USB ports for direct charging. The two ports are located in the handle and offer direct connection for your USB devices, even without a charge controller and battery.

Robust and flexible:

The WATTSTUNDE® SolarBuddy hardcover solar bag is both robust and space-saving, offering you a high degree of flexibility. The solar bag scores points for its ability to be freely positioned at any time. Whether behind the windshield while parked or outdoors, the fold-out feet allow you to always find the optimal location.
The robust polyamide fabric makes the SolarBuddy your perfect companion for outdoor use. Nevertheless, as with any technical device, care should be taken to ensure that no moisture or water gets into sensitive areas, such as under the USB port covers. We recommend not leaving the SolarBuddy outside overnight. (This is an electrical device that uses solar energy—meaning it cannot tolerate haze or rain.)

Big power, light weight:

To increase flexibility, we designed the SolarBuddy to be extra lightweight, making it easy to set up and carry. We didn't sacrifice power, though.
Our SolarBuddy has a high efficiency of 18%, allowing you to charge your devices even in poor lighting conditions. The monocrystalline solar modules are not only powerful, they also increase their lifespan. This means you can enjoy your mobile WATTSTUNDE® SolarBuddy for a long time.

Individual configuration:

Not only is the use (or free alignment) of our SolarBuddy flexible - but also its connection options.
You can tailor your SolarBuddy exactly to your needs by choosing the right charge controller and battery for storage.

Special features at a glance:

  • 100 watt robust solar bag

Tip : If words like charge controller and battery initially raise a question mark for you, you can always contact one of our competent consultants and work with them to find the optimal configuration for you.

Orient yourself according to the sun:

The SolarBuddy's free alignment allows it to track the sun to generate optimal yields at all times. Positioned at a 45° angle, it can capture the last rays of sunlight even in spring and fall, when conventional solar solutions produce only low levels of electricity due to the sun's low position. Cars, in particular, with their small roof surfaces, usually don't offer enough space for conventional solar modules; in this case, a SolarBuddy is a viable alternative to a solar bag.
Perfect for shade parkers and anyone who values flexibility.

Please note that the SolarBuddy WS100SB does not come with a charge controller . This is because in most cases, charge controllers are already installed or customers prefer to choose their own.
For example, we recommend the following MPPT controllers that fit the bag:

WATTSTUNDE® TARA Flow 75V 20A MPPT Solar Charge Controller
Votronic MPP 170 CI
Victron MPPT SmartSolar 75/10
