Advanced Maximum Power Point Detection in Partial Shading.
In cases of partial shading, there may be two or more maximum power points (MPP) on the current-voltage curve. Conventional MPPTs tend to lock onto a local MPP, which may not be the optimal MPP. The SmartSolar device's innovative algorithm will always maximize energy yield by locking onto the optimal MPP.

A Bluetooth-enabled smartphone can display a variety of data live. The wireless solution for setting up, monitoring, and updating the controller using Apple and Android smartphones, tablets, or other devices.
Unlike BlueSolar controllers, the Bluetooth interface is already built in here, so no additional accessories need to be purchased.
Intelligent Battery Management with the BatteryLife Algorithm
The BatteryLife algorithm monitors the battery's state of charge and slightly increases the load disconnect threshold daily until the bulk voltage is reached. From this point, the load disconnect threshold is modulated so that the bulk voltage is reached approximately once a week.
The BatteryLife algorithm will extend the battery's operational life compared to conventional battery algorithms that always cycle between "partially charged" and "fully charged" (due to low self-discharge).

Simply remove the rubber seal protecting the connector on the front of the controller and plug in the display.

Internal temperature sensor and optional external measurement of battery voltage, temperature, and current via Bluetooth
With a Smart Battery Sense, a BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor, or a SmartShunt, battery voltage and temperature (and current, in the case of a BMV 712 or a SmartShunt) can be transmitted to one or more SmartSolar charge controllers.
Recovery function for fully discharged batteries
Will initiate charging even if the battery has been discharged to 0 Volts. Will reconnect to a fully discharged lithium-ion battery with internal disconnect function.
Synchronized parallel charging with VE.Can or Bluetooth
Up to 25 devices can be synchronized with VE.Can, and up to 10 devices with Bluetooth.
