Victron EasySolar II 48/5000/70-50 MPPT 250/100 GX

EasySolar-II GX multifunctional device: charge controller, inverter and battery charger combined.

The EasySolar-II GX combines an MPPT solar charge controller, an inverter/battery charger and a control center in one housing. The product is easy to install, with a minimum of wiring.

The solar charge controller: SmartSolar MPPT 250/100-Tr

The integrated charge controller comes from Victron's SmartSolar series and guarantees maximum yields with the ultra-fast MPPT process. Especially under overcast skies, when the light intensity is constantly changing, an extremely fast MPPT controller improves the energy yield by up to 30% compared to PWM charge controllers and by up to 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers.
Critical partial shading of the solar modules is detected by the MPP controller and a new operating point is sought so that high yields can still be achieved even under the most unfavorable circumstances. The DC output of the SmartSolar MPPT is connected in parallel to the DC connection of the MultiPlus-II inverter/charger.
The on/off mechanism of the MultiPlus-II also controls the SmartSolar.

MultiPlus II 48/5000/70-50 inverter and battery charger

The Multiplus-II 48/5000/70-50 from Victron is a device combination of a 4000 W sine wave inverter and battery charger. The smart integrated battery charger delivers an impressive 70 A so that the batteries can be charged extremely quickly when shore/mains power is available. The sine wave voltage converter integrated in the Multiplus transforms the 48 V direct current from the battery into a 230 V alternating current. Thanks to the real sine wave, the quality of the voltage is also perfect for sensitive electronic devices.

GX device

The integrated GX device includes:

• A BMS-Can interface. This can be used to connect to a compatible battery managed via the CANbus. Note that this is not a VE.Can compatible connector.
• A USB port
• An Ethernet port
• A VE.Direct connection

The GX device controls the MultiPlus-II and the SmartSolar MPPT with one VE.Bus and one
VE.Direct connection.

Display and WiFi

The display shows parameters for the battery, inverter and solar charge controller. The parameters can be accessed using a smartphone or other Wi-Fi enabled device. In addition, Wi-Fi can be used to set up the system and change settings.
