Victron EasySolar II 48/5000/70-50 MPPT 250/100 GX

EasySolar-II GX multifunctional device: charge controller, inverter and battery charger combined.

The EasySolar-II GX combines an MPPT solar charge controller, an inverter/battery charger, and a control center in a single enclosure. The product is easy to install, requiring minimal wiring.

The solar charging controller: SmartSolar MPPT 250/100-Tr

The integrated charge controller is part of Victron's SmartSolar series and guarantees maximum yields with its ultrafast MPPT technology. Especially under overcast skies, when light intensity is constantly changing, an extremely fast MPPT controller improves energy yield by up to 30% compared to PWM charge controllers and by up to 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers.
Critical partial shading of the solar modules is detected by the MPPT controller and a new operating point is sought, ensuring high yields can still be achieved even under the most adverse conditions. The DC output of the SmartSolar MPPT is connected in parallel with the DC connection of the MultiPlus II inverter/charger.
The on/off mechanism of the MultiPlus-II also controls the SmartSolar.

MultiPlus II 48/5000/70-50 inverter and battery charger

The Multiplus-II 48/5000/70-50 from Victron is a combination of a 4000 W sine wave inverter and battery charger. The smart integrated battery charger delivers an impressive 70 A, allowing batteries to be charged extremely quickly when shore/grid power is available. The Multiplus's integrated sine wave voltage converter transforms the 48 V direct current from the battery into 230 V alternating current. Thanks to the true sine wave, the voltage quality is perfect even for sensitive electronic devices.

GX device

The integrated GX device includes:

• A BMS CAN interface. This can be used to connect to a compatible battery managed via the CANbus. Please note that this is not a VE.CAN compatible connector.
• A USB port
• An Ethernet port
• A VE.Direct connection

The GX device controls the MultiPlus-II and the SmartSolar MPPT with one VE.Bus and one
VE.Direct connection.

Display and WiFi

The display shows parameters for the battery, inverter, and solar charge controller. The parameters can be accessed using a smartphone or other Wi-Fi-enabled device. Wi-Fi can also be used to set up the system and change settings.
