Thanks to their flexibility, WATTSTUNDE® solar modules adapt to any curved roof surface and are therefore widely used in mobile homes and especially in sailing boats and yachts.
The integrated aluminum plate gives the module the necessary stability to ensure a long service life even under extreme applications such as marine applications.

The Premium EFX solar modules were specially developed for use in the marine sector. However, the modules are also increasingly finding numerous applications outside of the marine sector. The solar modules are often installed and used in self-sufficient battery applications such as in mobile homes, garden houses, camping, island systems and all off-grid systems.

Novel ActiveWire solar cells

The new ActiveWire technology shortens the distances between the conductor tracks of the solar cells, thus minimizing electrical losses and increasing the flow of current. If a cell breaks, the effect remains locally limited. This innovative conductor mesh with 19 busbars (conventional mono modules have just 5 busbars) guarantees a high level of reliability of the module. Due to the thinner wires, more light is captured than with conventional surface contacts and partial shading is minimized. This design maximizes the energy yield - even in weak and diffuse lighting conditions.

A high light output combined with flat installation heights and walkability make these modules unique!

Maximum stability - ideal for use in the marine sector

The integrated aluminum plate ensures that the module is highly stable in order to meet the extreme requirements of the marine and outdoor areas. The modules can be used optimally on uneven surfaces and rounded surfaces of a boat or mobile home. When installed on solid ground, the EFX solar modules can also be walked on. Weight savings of up to 80% are possible compared to framed solar modules. Due to our high standards for the quality of the solar modules, we monitor every step - from cell production to the assembly of the components to the finished product.

We recommend bonding with 3M™ Industrial Adhesive Tapes 160 GF

The connection cables are deliberately designed without MC4 connectors.
You have the choice: the loose cable ends can be connected either below deck or directly on the roof. We recommend using our practical wiring box.
The highlight: The cable can be fed through directly through the carrier plate. A corresponding cable feedthrough is already prepared at the factory. Maximum flexibility in the wiring is therefore guaranteed!

In addition to a battery, you also need a charge controller that prevents the power supply and thus overcharging or, if necessary, deep discharging of the battery. This also ensures an optimal charging voltage and provides the necessary reverse current protection at night.

We recommend using MPPT charge controllers. These can constantly redetermine the operating point of maximum energy yield and thus maximize yields. Significantly higher amounts of electricity can be produced, particularly in diffuse light conditions!
