These thin cell connectors are not required with the unique shingle cell solar modules: instead of individual cells, narrow cell strips are used.

The abbreviation HV stands for “high voltage”

More cells than normal modules promise yields in HV modules even in unfavorable light conditions, so that MPPT charge controllers can work optimally here with their maximum power point technology. In unfavorable diffuse light conditions, conventional solar modules only deliver a low voltage, which is no longer sufficient to charge the battery. By increasing the number of cells and the associated increase in voltage, it is ensured that even in low-light seasons the voltage is sufficient to catch the last rays of sunshine. Another advantage: With the same performance, an increase in voltage results in a reduction in the current load on the cables. The high operating voltage reduces cable losses and allows work to be carried out with smaller cable cross-sections.

New shingle cells - no more cell connectors necessary The mechanical connection with cell connectors is the (thermo)mechanical weak point of conventional solar modules and is not required for the BlackLine solar modules.

The cells are nested together in a similar way to roof tiles: the end of one cell is simply connected to the beginning of the next cell using a special polymer-based adhesive that is conductive thanks to metallic particles. This creates a unique parallel structure that allows for unhindered energy flow.
The internal resistance of the solar module is reduced by this special design - this reduces internal losses and increases the module performance. A space saving of up to 10% is possible because there are no gaps between the individual cells.

No HotSpot formation thanks to the new solar cell technology

Many of the modules on the market often have problems with local heat development. The so-called hotspots are a thing of the past with shingle cell technology! The parallel cell strip connection not only prevents hotspots, but also mitigates the shading problem. All of these effects lead to an even longer service life of the module and extremely high reliability.
Thanks to the integrated bypass diodes in the junction box, the module can continue to produce power even in shade or low light conditions.

Simple installation, quick commissioning and prepared materials make your installation child's play! The modules are enclosed in a stable high-chamber profile frame and promise maximum stability, especially in extreme conditions. Thanks to their anti-reflective glass, the modules let through significantly more light and therefore ensure a higher transmission than other modules. The efficiency of the monocrystalline BLACKLINE solar modules is 20%. The modules are equipped with a cable connection and MC4 connectors at the factory to simplify the connection of several modules.

Further information
In addition to a 12V battery, you also need a charge controller that prevents the power supply and thus overcharging or, if necessary, deep discharging of the battery. This also ensures an optimal charging voltage and guarantees the necessary reverse current protection at night.
