The Wattstunde LIX low temperature LT is our premium model in the LIX series. In addition to features such as a battery management system and a Bluetooth interface, this model series has an integrated heating mat, because lithium batteries do not like low temperatures. The Wattstunde LIX low temperature LT promises uncompromising and reliable operation even at low temperatures, maximum performance is guaranteed at all times!
Winterproof – reliable 365 days a year
Conventional lithium batteries have the problem that they can no longer be charged at temperatures below freezing. However, with our LIX low temperature LT we offer a solution. The smart, energy-efficient heating ensures that the cell temperature is high enough even in winter. This means that the LIX LT can be used reliably even at low temperatures. If the cell temperature drops below -2 degrees, the integrated heating mat is activated when the battery needs to be charged.
In normal operation in summer, this has no effect on the battery's energy consumption. The integrated heating mat has no standby loss! The integrated BMS controls the heating mat automatically as needed.
Enough power for starting currents
A well-known problem - when electrical consumers (especially alternating current) are switched on, extremely high starting currents occur. A multiple of the nominal current is required for a fraction of a second. If this is not counteracted, the extreme electrical currents quickly lead to a defect in the BMS electronics. Even with careful selection of the inverter (nominal power corresponds to the permissible continuous load on the battery), it cannot be ruled out that unpredictable starting currents will destroy the BMS. Our LIX therefore has a unique protective circuit (Pre Charge) built in that defuses this problem.
Long service life and wide capacity utilization
Conventional lead-acid batteries can only be discharged up to 50% and have a comparatively low cycle stability. Lithium technology makes it possible to extract up to 80% of the stored energy quickly and safely. Over 3500 cycles guarantee a long service life, ideal conditions for use as a solar storage device.
Series connection, 12 or 24 V system no problem
To increase capacity, batteries can be connected in parallel. This not only increases the energy that can be accessed/stored, but also the maximum charging and discharging current. Identical batteries can be connected without any problem. In addition to parallel connection, series connection is also possible. This makes it possible to set up a 24 V or even 48 V system. The advantage: Even at high power levels, comparatively low currents flow. The current can be reduced. This means that smaller cable cross-sections can be used. Professional, high-performance inverters can be used.

Our LIX series is based on lithium iron phosphate technology (LiFePO4). This is currently the safest lithium technology in the field of energy storage for vehicles. A lithium battery is made up of several powerful cells. An intelligent battery management system (BMS) is necessary to precisely control the charging and discharging process. This is already integrated in our batteries and, in addition to numerous protective functions, ensures that the individual cells are optimally loaded in order to guarantee a long service life. Failures of the storage system due to environmental influences are prevented in advance by the BMS.
The many protective functions protect the battery from overvoltage, overcharging or excessive temperatures. So you no longer need to worry about your energy storage in everyday life.
The batteries are maintenance-free and there is no risk of explosion or fire. Since they are sealed batteries that do not emit gas, they can be installed even in awkward spaces. The fact that they can be installed in any position ensures the greatest possible flexibility. Self-discharge is extremely low at 1.5% per month.

Battery 2.0: Wireless Bluetooth connection integrated
An integrated Bluetooth interface allows convenient remote monitoring via smartphone and tablet. With the free app for Android or iOS smartphones, which you can find either on the Play Store or the App Store under the keyword WATTSTUNDE, parameters such as charge level, charging and discharging current, temperature and number of cycles can be read out. This way you can keep an eye on your energy storage at all times!
With the WATTSTUNDE app (available free of charge for Android and iOS) on your smartphone, you can connect to your lithium battery in seconds. Bluetooth technology does not require a line of sight and works within a radius of several meters. Particularly practical if you have not installed your battery in a visible place.
This means you can read all important information in real time on your smartphone. In addition to the current charge level and voltage, you also receive information about the temperature and the number of cycles.
