A charge controller is the heart of every solar island system and establishes the connection between photovoltaic cells, loads and the solar battery. The changing voltage of the solar modules is converted into a constant voltage in order to gently charge the battery. The innovative maximum power point tracking method (MPPT for short) enables significantly higher yields to be generated even in unfavorable lighting conditions.

The new WSL 10.45 charge controller from the MPPT series also impresses with an LCD display on which you can read a lot of information about your solar system. For example, the battery charge level or load current can now be read easily and conveniently. Precise measured values ​​now enable you to always keep an overview of your solar system and easily monitor your system. The energy flows are displayed in real time and a statistics function allows you to view the entire solar yield.

As a special feature, the charging controller has two practical USB ports. These can be used to charge mobile phones and tablets quickly and conveniently.

The WSL charges the battery reliably and gently and protects it from dangerous deep discharge by automatically disconnecting its consumers with the help of intelligent load disconnection when the battery reaches a critical charge level.

The new WSL-MPP series from WATTSTUNDE® works with the maximum power point tracking principle.
With MPP technology, the controller determines the optimal operating point of the solar modules several times per second.
It can therefore transform the excess voltage of the solar modules into an increased charging current for the battery. This increase in charging current ensures shorter charging times and the best possible performance utilization of the solar system.
Compared to simple PWM charge controllers, this makes additional yields of up to 30% possible. This effect is particularly noticeable when the sky is overcast or in other unfavorable lighting conditions (high proportion of diffuse light).

The system voltage (12V) is automatically detected. The external temperature sensor allows the charging voltage to be automatically adjusted depending on the ambient temperature. Overload and overcharge protection as well as countercurrent protection for the solar modules round off the impressive profile of the WSL controller.
