The SMI 1700 NVS is a pure sine wave inverter, ideal for operating high-quality 230V appliances on board. The continuous output power is 1700 watts. Thanks to very high peak power, it can also be used for demanding appliances with high starting currents, such as air conditioners or vacuum cleaners. It is also perfectly suited for highly sensitive radio, reception, and medical equipment.
The VOTRONIC MobilPOWER inverters of the SMI SINUS series convert the battery voltage (12V DC) into a quartz-accurate and pure sinusoidal 230V alternating current (AC) for operating all grid-connected devices. They are designed for continuous operation in emergency and special vehicles, high-quality motorhomes, and for off-grid systems. They are constructed with state-of-the-art switch mode technology, are compact and lightweight, and feature high output power with low consumption.
An intelligent power-saving control with automatic shut-off enables both the undisturbed operation of powerful 230V consumers and small sensitive devices with minimal battery consumption. Numerous integrated protection circuits, robust power electronics, and intelligent microprocessor technology ensure very high overload capacity (consumer starting currents) with high operational reliability, even under adverse operating conditions for a long time. The detachable control panel can be conveniently mounted depending on the installation position of the device or even extended into the cabin as a complete remote control (5 m connection cable included).
Six LEDs indicate not only the operating status but also the power range in which the device is currently operating. Of course, the device can also be completely switched on and off via the remote control.
A special feature of the NVS series is the integrated mains priority circuit. This ensures that when shore power is available, the vehicle's mains sockets are automatically supplied with shore power, and the inverter switches off completely, thus no longer drawing power from the battery.
If the vehicle is disconnected from external power, the inverter automatically (adjustable) takes over the supply of the 230V consumers again.
