The VOTRONIC charging boosters ensure optimal and fast charging of the supply battery from the alternator while driving. In contrast to a simple isolating relay, the charging voltage is increased to the value necessary for a full charge for the respective battery type and required by battery manufacturers. This allows the full charging current to flow, and a significant amount of power to be stored in the battery in a short time. Long charging cables and losses, as well as voltage fluctuations at the alternator, are precisely regulated.

The charging converters thus provide the well-known high quality of battery charging of VOTRONIC chargers even while driving. The intelligent microprocessor charging control with "IU1oU2" charging characteristics and dynamic charging time calculation automatically ensures fast and gentle full charging as well as subsequent maintenance charging of the connected batteries from any state of charge, and always enables the simultaneous supply of consumers parallel to the supply battery.
