The VOTRONIC charging boosters ensure optimal and fast charging of the leisure battery from the alternator while driving. In contrast to a simple isolating relay, the charging voltage is increased to the value necessary for a full charge for the respective battery type and required by battery manufacturers. This allows the full charging current to flow and considerable amounts of power to be loaded into the battery in a short time. Long charging cables and losses, as well as voltage fluctuations at the alternator, are precisely regulated.

The charging converters thus provide the well-known high quality of battery charging of VOTRONIC chargers even while driving. The intelligent microprocessor-controlled charging with "IU1oU2" charging characteristics and dynamic charging time calculation automatically ensures fast and gentle full charging as well as subsequent charge maintenance of the connected batteries from any state of charge, and always allows simultaneous power supply to consumers parallel to the leisure battery.
