The VOTRONIC charging boosters ensure optimal and fast charging of the supply battery from the alternator while driving. Unlike a simple cut-off relay, the charging voltage is raised to the value necessary for a full charge for the respective battery type and required by battery manufacturers. This allows the full charging current to flow, and a significant amount of electricity can be loaded into the battery in a short time. Long charging cables and losses, as well as voltage fluctuations at the alternator, are precisely regulated.
 

Designed for operation with a 13-pin trailer connector for caravans and camper cabins

The device is primarily designed for operation with the 13-pin trailer connector of the towing vehicle to charge the caravan battery. It automatically regulates itself so that the load capacity of the connector and the upstream vehicle electrical system (12 V / max. 20 Amperes) is not exceeded. From this perspective, the performance of the device results. The charging converter is installed in the caravan/camper cabin and provides the optimal charging voltage for the battery, independent of vehicle board voltage fluctuations and cable/connector voltage losses.
