The Votronic VAC 1224-16 (MPN 0524) is a fully automatic battery charger from the VAC-Station series, developed for fire and emergency vehicles in accordance with DIN 14679. It ensures reliable and gentle charging of 12V and 24V batteries and automatically accounts for voltage losses in the vehicle wiring, at the charging plug, and in the coiled charging cable. This guarantees precise adherence to the optimal charging voltage – regardless of cable lengths or power fluctuations.

Included in the scope of delivery is a 5 m oil- and acid-resistant coiled charging cable, allowing flexible use in vehicle halls or at stationary charging points.

Intelligent Charging Technology & Maximum Safety

The charger operates with a microprocessor-controlled IU1oU2oU3 charging characteristic curve, which ensures fast, gentle full charging and subsequent charge maintenance. Six individually selectable charging programs allow adaptation to different battery types – whether acid, gel, or AGM batteries.

Automatic Regeneration & Continuous Operation

The VAC 1224-16 is designed for continuous operation and can remain permanently connected to the battery. It regulates the voltage without spikes, preventing overcharging. Twice a week, automatic battery regeneration is triggered to prevent acid stratification during long periods of inactivity.

A built-in vehicle electrical system filter ensures problem-free parallel operation with alternators, generators, or power supplies.
