Votronic chargers are characterized by high operational reliability and readiness for use, representing the latest in technology. Their high-quality charging technology and robust power electronics, combined with intelligent microprocessor control, ensure precise adherence to charging voltages, currents, and times, thus extending battery life. A variety of different versions of the devices are available, making it easy to find the right charger for your application.

All charging programs are applied by the charger for gentle full charging and subsequent trickle charging of the battery. When a temperature sensor is used, temperature compensation adapted to the battery type is also applied. The power supply to connected consumers is taken into account during charging, dimensioned such that no more than 50% flows to consumers during the I-phase (initial charge).

When batteries are full, almost the entire available device charging current is available for consumers, without discharging the batteries.

Selectable charging programs / charging curves:

"LiFePO4": Charging program specifically for Lithium batteries

Charging program adapted for Lithium-LiFePo4 batteries with their own BMS and prescribed or built-in protective circuitry. A special resting maintenance automatically keeps the LiFePO4 battery at a charge level of 50-80%, which is beneficial for its lifespan, when the vehicle is parked (seasonal operation), and also buffers 12V consumers as well as the vehicle's starter battery. In addition, a regular auto wake-up function activates battery cell balancing.

1. "Gel": Charging program for Gel batteries, characteristic IU1oU2oU3

Adapted for sealed, gas-tight Gel/dryfit batteries with fixed electrolyte, which generally require a higher charging voltage level and longer U1 hold times to achieve short charging times with particularly high capacity storage and to avoid long-term battery "starvation". Among other things, perfectly suited for our WATTSTUNDE Gel batteries.

2. "AGM": Charging program for AGM / Fleece batteries, characteristic IU1oU2oU3

Designed for charging sealed, gas-tight AGM (Absorbent-Glass-Mat) batteries and those in lead-fleece technology, which require a particularly high U1 level with coordinated hold times for full charging and then a moderate U2 level for trickle charging (round cell and plate technology).

4. "UNIVERSAL": Charging program for lead-acid / wet batteries, characteristic IU1oU2oU3

Universal program for charging and trickle charging of acid batteries in vehicles (mixed mobile/stationary). With a medium U1 level, it still offers short charging times, a good charge factor and good acid mixing in open and closed, low-maintenance, maintenance-free standard, traction, lighting, solar and heavy-duty batteries as well as AGM batteries with normal U1 level.
