Votronic charging technology has been used for years in professional emergency vehicles such as fire trucks, ambulances, and coast guard! Quality Made in Germany!

All charging programs are applied by the charger for gentle full charging and subsequent trickle charging of the battery. If a temperature sensor is used, temperature compensation is also adjusted according to the battery type. Power supply to connected consumers is also handled during charging, dimensioned so that no more than 50% flows to consumers during the I-phase (initial charge).

When batteries are full, almost the entire possible device charging current is available for consumers, without discharging the batteries.

Selectable charging programs / charging characteristics:

1. "Gel": Charging program for gel batteries, characteristic IU1oU2

 

 

Optimized for sealed, gas-tight gel/dryfit batteries with fixed electrolyte, which generally require a higher charging voltage level and longer U1 holding times to achieve short charging times with particularly high capacity storage and to prevent long-term battery "starvation". Also recommended for EXIDE MAXXIMA, high-current battery in AGM spiral cell technology.

2. "AGM": Charging program for AGM / fleece batteries, characteristic IU1oU2

Designed for charging sealed, gas-tight AGM (Absorbent-Glass-Mat) batteries and those in lead-fleece technology, which require a particularly high U1 level with coordinated holding times for full charging and then a moderate U2 level for trickle charging (round cell and plate technology).

3. "UNIVERSAL": Charging program for lead-acid / wet batteries, characteristic IU1oU2oU3

Universal program for charging and trickle charging of acid batteries in vehicles (mixed mobile/stationary). Offers short charging times with a medium U1 level, good charging factor and good acid mixing for open and closed, low-maintenance, maintenance-free standard, traction, lighting, solar and heavy-duty batteries.
