Votronic chargers are characterized by high operational reliability and readiness for use, representing the latest in technology. All charging programs are applied by the charger for gentle full charging and then for trickle charging the battery, also with temperature compensation adapted to the battery type when a temperature sensor is used. The supply of connected consumers is also handled during charging, dimensioned so that no more than 50% flows to consumers during the I-phase (initial charge).

When batteries are full, almost the entire possible device charging current is available for consumers, without the batteries being discharged.

Selectable charging programs / charging characteristics:

"LiFePO4": Charging program specifically for lithium batteries

Charging program adapted for lithium LiFePO4 batteries with their own BMS and prescribed or built-in protection circuitry. A special quiescent maintenance automatically keeps the LiFePO4 battery at a charge level of 50-80% beneficial for its lifespan when the vehicle is parked (seasonal operation), while also buffering 12V consumers and the vehicle's starter battery. In addition, a regular auto wake-up function activates battery cell balancing.

1. "Gel": Charging program for Gel batteries, characteristic IU1oU2oU3

Optimized for sealed, gas-tight gel/dryfit batteries with fixed electrolyte, which generally require a higher charging voltage level and longer U1 holding times to achieve short charging times with particularly high capacity storage and to avoid long-term battery "starvation." Perfectly suited for our WATTSTUNDE gel batteries, among others.

2. "AGM": Charging program for AGM / Fleece batteries, characteristic IU1oU2oU3

Designed for charging sealed, gas-tight AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) batteries and those with lead-fleece technology, which require a particularly high U1 level with coordinated holding times for full charging and then a moderate U2 level for trickle charging (round cell and plate technology).

4. "UNIVERSAL": Charging program for Lead-Acid / Wet Batteries, characteristic IU1oU2oU3

Universal program for charging and trickle charging acid batteries in vehicles (mixed mobile/stationary). Offers short charging times with a medium U1 level, good charging factor, and good acid mixing for open and closed, low-maintenance, maintenance-free standard, traction, lighting, solar, and heavy-duty batteries, as well as AGM batteries with normal U1 level.
