Votronic battery chargers are characterized by high operational reliability and readiness for use, representing the latest in technology. Their high-quality charging technology, robust power electronics combined with intelligent microprocessor control ensure precise adherence to charging voltages, currents, and times, thus extending battery life. All charging programs are used by the charger for gentle full charging and subsequent maintenance charging of the battery, with temperature compensation adapted to the battery type when a temperature sensor is used. The supply of connected consumers is also taken into account during charging, dimensioned so that during the I-phase (initial charge) no more than 50% flows to the consumers.

When batteries are fully charged, almost the entire possible device charging current is available for consumers without discharging the batteries.

Selectable charging programs / charging characteristics:

"LiFePO4": Charging program specifically for Lithium batteries

Charging program adapted for Lithium-LiFePo4 batteries with their own BMS and prescribed or built-in protection circuitry. A special quiescent maintenance automatically keeps the LiFePO4 battery at a charge level of 50-80% which is beneficial for its lifespan when the vehicle is parked (seasonal operation), and also buffers 12 V consumers as well as the vehicle's starter battery. In addition, regular Auto Wake Up function activates battery cell balancing.

1. Gel: Charging program for Gel batteries, characteristic curve IU1oU2oU3

Adapted for sealed, gas-tight Gel/dryfit batteries with fixed electrolyte, which generally require a higher charging voltage level and longer U1 holding times to achieve short charging times with particularly high capacity storage and to avoid long-term battery "starvation". Perfectly suited for charging WATTSTUNDE GEL batteries.

2. AGM: Charging program for AGM / Fleece batteries, characteristic curve IU1oU2oU3

Designed for charging sealed, gas-tight AGM (Absorbent-Glass-Mat) batteries and those with lead-fleece technology, which require a particularly high U1 level with coordinated holding times for full charging and then a moderate U2 level for maintenance charging (round cell and plate technology).

4. UNIVERSAL: Charging program for lead-acid/wet-cell batteries, characteristic curve IU1oU2oU3

Universal program for charging and maintenance charging of acid batteries in vehicles (mixed mobile/stationary). Offers short charging times with a medium U1 level, a good charging factor and good acid mixing for open and closed, low-maintenance, maintenance-free standard, traction, lighting, solar and heavy-duty batteries as well as AGM batteries with normal U1 level.
