Victron battery charger Skylla-TG for 24V batteries
A full-power output and a 4 A auxiliary charging output are available. The charging voltage can be precisely adjusted to any battery system. The charger's input is 230 V at 50/60 Hz. The charging voltage can be measured directly at the battery terminals to compensate for voltage drops due to cable resistance. An external sensor allows you to measure the battery temperature and compensate the charging voltage accordingly.
Pure power, compact format
Generation TG battery chargers are lightweight and compact thanks to the use of high-frequency technology. The charging voltage can be adjusted to suit any open or sealed battery type. A stable charging voltage is particularly important for sealed, maintenance-free batteries. Overvoltage leads to excessive gassing and drying out.
Controlled charging
Each TG charger features a microprocessor that precisely regulates the charging process in three stages. The charging process follows the IUoUo characteristic and is faster than other charging processes.
Can be used as a power supply
Thanks to its perfectly stabilized output voltage, a TG charger can be used as a power supply when batteries or large buffer capacitors are missing.
Two outputs for charging two batteries
TG chargers have two isolated outputs. The second output is designed for charging a starter battery. It has a slightly lower output voltage and is limited to 4 A.
Longer battery life through temperature compensation
Every TG charger comes with a temperature sensor. The temperature sensor ensures a decreasing charging voltage as the battery temperature rises. This is especially important for maintenance-free batteries, which can otherwise dry out due to overcharging.
Voltage Sense: Measures the charging voltage at the battery or DC distributor
To compensate for voltage losses due to cable resistance, TG chargers feature a "Voltage Sense" function. This ensures that the battery receives the correct charging voltage at all times.
