The Multiplus Compact 12/2000/80 from Victron is a device combination of a 1600W sine wave inverter and battery charger. The smartly integrated battery charger provides an impressive 80A, allowing batteries to be charged extremely quickly when shore/grid power is available. The sine wave inverter integrated into the Multiplus transforms 12V DC from the battery into 230 V AC. Thanks to the true sine wave, the voltage quality is perfectly suitable even for sensitive electronic devices.Versatile Use
The MultiPlus is a powerful pure sine wave inverter, an advanced battery charger using adaptive charging technology, and a high-speed AC transfer switch in a single compact enclosure. Models are available for the range from 800 VA to 5000 VA per module.
The MultiPlus prevents overloading of a limited AC source. First, the battery charging process is automatically reduced to prevent overload. Next, the power of a generator or shore power supply is boosted with energy from the battery.
Uninterruptible AC Power (UPS Function)
In the event of a grid failure or interruption of shore power or onboard generator, the Multi's inverter automatically switches on and takes over the supply of connected loads. The transfer happens so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that an uninterruptible operation of computers and other electronic devices is guaranteed.
Virtually Unlimited Power through Parallel Connection
Up to six Multis can be connected in parallel for high power requirements. Three-phase or split-phase operation is also possible. Please refer to our datasheets for which models are suitable for parallel operation, three-phase, and split-phase operation.
Local Monitoring and Control
Several options are available: Battery Monitor, Multi Control Panel, Ve.Net Blue Power Panel, Color Control Panel, Smartphone or Tablet (Bluetooth Smart), Laptop or Computer (USB or RS232).
Remote Monitoring and Control
If systems with a Color Control Panel are connected to the Ethernet, they can be accessed and settings can be changed remotely.
Remote Configuration:
Victron Ethernet Remote, Venus GX, and the Color Control Panel. Data can be stored and viewed free of charge on the VRM (Victron Remote Management) website.
