Innovative Combination Device from Victron: Sine Wave Inverter and 12 V Battery Charger in One!
The Multiplus 12/800/35 from Victron is a combination device consisting of a 12V 700W sine wave inverter and a battery charger. The smartly integrated battery charger delivers an impressive 35A, allowing batteries to be charged extremely quickly when shore/grid power is available. The 12V sine wave inverter integrated into the Multiplus transforms the 12V DC from the battery into 230 V AC. Thanks to the true sine wave, the voltage quality is perfectly suited for sensitive electronic devices.
Versatile Use
The MultiPlus is a powerful true sine wave inverter, an advanced battery charger that utilizes adaptive charging technology, and a high-speed AC transfer switch in a single compact enclosure. Models are available ranging from 800 VA to 5000 VA per module.
Unique PowerAssist Function
Peak loads often occur for only a limited period. In such cases, the MultiPlus ensures that insufficient shore or generator power is immediately compensated for by energy from the battery. If the load is reduced, i.e., consumers are switched off, the then sufficiently available energy can be used to charge the batteries.
Uninterruptible AC Power (UPS Function)
In the event of a grid failure or an interruption of shore power or the onboard generator, the Multi's inverter automatically switches on and takes over the supply of the connected consumers. The transfer happens so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that uninterrupted operation of computers and other electronic devices is guaranteed.
Virtually Unlimited Power through Parallel Connection
Up to six Multis can be connected in parallel for high power demands. Three-phase or split-phase operation is also possible. Please refer to our datasheets for which models are suitable for parallel, three-phase, and split-phase operation.
PowerControl – Working with Limited Generator Power, Restricted Shore or Grid Power (800VA/1200VA).
The maximum current that can be drawn from the grid or generator can be set using the Multi Control remote panel. The MultiPlus then takes into account other connected AC consumers and only uses the remaining power for charging. This prevents overloading of the generator or shore power connection.
Local Monitoring and Control
Several options are available: Battery monitor, Multi Control panel, Ve.Net Blue Power panel, Color Control panel, smartphone or tablet (Bluetooth Smart), laptop or computer (USB or RS232).
Remote Monitoring and Control
If systems with a Color Control panel are connected to Ethernet, they can be accessed and settings can be changed remotely.
Remote Configuration:
Victron Ethernet Remote, Venus GX, and the Color Control panel. Data can be stored and viewed free of charge on the VRM (Victron Remote Management) website.
