Innovative combination device from Victron: sine wave inverter and 12 V battery charger in one!

The Multiplus 12/1600/70 from Victron is a device combination of a 1300 W sine wave inverter and battery charger. The smart integrated battery charger delivers an impressive 70 A so that the batteries can be charged extremely quickly when shore/mains power is available. The sine wave voltage converter integrated in the Multiplus transforms the 12 V direct current from the battery into a 230 V alternating current. Thanks to the real sine wave, the quality of the voltage is also perfect for sensitive electronic devices.

Versatile use

The MultiPlus is a powerful pure sine wave inverter, an advanced battery charger using adaptive charging technology, and a high speed AC transfer switch in a single compact package. Models range from 800VA to 5000VA per module.

Unique PowerAssist feature

Load peaks often only occur for a limited period of time. In such a case, the MultiPlus ensures that insufficient shore power or generator power is immediately compensated for by energy from the battery. If the load is reduced, ie consumers are switched off, the energy that is then available again can be used to charge the batteries.

Uninterruptible alternating current (UPS function)

In the event of a grid fault or an interruption of the shore power or on-board generator, the Multi's inverter is automatically switched on and takes over the supply of power to the connected consumers. The switchover takes place so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that uninterrupted operation of computers and other electronic devices is guaranteed.

Virtually unlimited power through parallel connection

Up to six Multis can be connected in parallel if high power requirements are required. Three-phase or split-phase operation is also possible. Please refer to our data sheets to find out which models are suitable for parallel operation, three-phase and split-phase operation.

PowerControl – Working with limited generator power, limited shore power or grid power (1600VA).

The Multi Control remote control panel can be used to set the maximum mains or generator current to be drawn. The MultiPlus then takes other connected AC consumers into account and only uses the power that is "left over" for charging. This prevents the generator or shore power connection from being overloaded.

On-site monitoring and control

Several options are available: Battery Monitor, Multi Control Panel, Ve.Net Blue Power Panel, Color Control Panel, Smartphone or Tablet (Bluetooth Smart), Laptop or Computer (USB or RS232).

Remote monitoring and control

If systems with a Color Control Panel are connected to the Ethernet, they can be accessed and settings can be changed remotely.

Victron Ethernet Remote, Venus GX and the Color Control Panel. The data can be saved and viewed free of charge on the VRM (Victron Remote Management) website.
