Innovative combination device from Victron: Sine wave inverter and 12 V battery charger in one!

The Multiplus 12/1200/50 from Victron is a device combination of a 1000 W sine wave inverter and a battery charger. The smartly integrated battery charger delivers an impressive 50 A, allowing batteries to be charged extremely quickly when shore/mains power is available. The 12V sine wave inverter integrated into the Multiplus transforms the 12V DC from the battery into 230V AC. Thanks to the true sine wave, the voltage quality is perfectly suitable even for sensitive electronic devices.

Versatile Use

The MultiPlus is a powerful true sine wave inverter, an advanced battery charger that uses adaptive charging technology, and a high-speed AC transfer switch, all in a single compact enclosure. Models are available for the range of 800 VA to 5000 VA per module.

Unique PowerAssist Feature

Peak loads often occur only for a limited period. In such a case, the MultiPlus ensures that insufficient shore or generator power is immediately compensated for by energy from the battery. If the load is reduced, i.e., consumers are switched off, the then sufficiently available energy can be used to charge the batteries.

Uninterruptible AC Power (UPS Function)

In the event of a grid failure or interruption of shore power or the onboard generator, the Multi's inverter automatically switches on and takes over the supply of connected consumers. The transfer happens so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that uninterrupted operation of computers and other electronic devices is ensured.

Practically unlimited power through parallel connection

Up to six Multis can be connected in parallel for high power demand. Three-phase or split-phase operation is also possible. Please refer to our datasheets to see which models are suitable for parallel operation, three-phase, and split-phase operation.

PowerControl – Working with limited generator power, restricted shore or mains power (800VA/1200VA).

The Multi Control remote panel can be used to set the maximum mains or generator current to be drawn. The MultiPlus then takes into account other connected AC consumers and only uses the remaining current for charging. This prevents the generator or shore power connection from being overloaded.

Local Monitoring and Control

Several options are available: battery monitor, Multi Control panel, Ve.Net Blue Power panel, Color Control panel, smartphone or tablet (Bluetooth Smart), laptop or computer (USB or RS232).

Remote Monitoring and Control

If systems with a Color Control panel are connected to Ethernet, they can be accessed and settings can be changed remotely.

Remote Configuration:

Victron Ethernet Remote, Venus GX and the Color Control panel. Data can be stored and viewed free of charge on the VRM (Victron Remote Management) website.
