The VictronConnectApp
Set, view, and configure your Blue Smart IP65 charger using your smartphone. With the VictronConnect App, you can view the status of your charger and battery and even control the functions of your charger. By default, voltage and current are displayed on the screen.
High efficiency
With an efficiency of up to 94%, these chargers generate up to four times less heat compared to the industry standard. Additionally, once the battery is fully charged, power consumption drops to less than 0.5 watts, which is about five to ten times better than the industry standard.
Adaptive 6-step charging algorithm: Test - Bulk - Absorption - Recondition - Float - Storage
The Blue Smart charger features microprocessor-controlled, "adaptive" battery management. "Adaptive" means that the charging process is automatically adjusted to the type of battery usage.
Storage Mode:
Less maintenance and aging during battery inactivity:
Storage Mode is activated whenever no discharge has occurred within 24 hours. The float voltage is then reduced to 2.2V/cell (13.2V for a 12V battery) to minimize gassing and thus prevent corrosion of the positive plates. Once a week, the voltage is increased to the gassing voltage level. This achieves a form of equalization charge that prevents electrolyte stratification and sulfation – the two main reasons for premature battery failure.
Also charges Lithium-Ion (LiFePO4) batteries
LiFePO4 batteries are charged with a simple constant current phase – constant voltage phase – float voltage phase algorithm.
The NIGHT and LOW settings
When the device is in NIGHT or LOW mode, the output current is reduced to a maximum of 25% of the rated output and the charger operates completely silently. NIGHT mode ends automatically after 8 hours. LOW mode can be manually exited.
Overheat protection The output current is reduced if the temperature rises to up to 50°C, but the Blue Smart charger does not fail.
