Victron BatteryProtect 12/24V 65A
BatteryProtect 12/24V 65A from Victron battery protection
The BatteryProtect disconnects the battery from less important consumers before it is completely discharged (which would be damaged) or before it no longer has sufficient energy to start the engine.
12/24 V automatic detection of the voltage rangeThe BatteryProtect detects the system voltage automatically.
Easy programmingThe BatteryProtect can be set to turn on or off at several different voltages. The seven-segment display then indicates which setting has been selected.
A special setting for lithium-ion batteriesIn this mode, the BatteryProtect can be controlled by the VE.Bus BMS. Note: The BatteryProtect can also be used as a charge breaker between a battery charger and a Li-ion battery used. See connection diagram in the manual.
Extremely low power consumptionThis is important in the case of lithium-ion batteries, especially after shutdown due to low voltage levels. Please also refer to our data sheet on lithium-ion batteries and the VE.Bus BMS manual for further Information.
Overvoltage protectionTo prevent sensitive consumers from being damaged by an overvoltage, the load is always switched off when if the DC voltage exceeds 16 V or 32 V.
Explosion protectionNo relays but MOSFET switches and therefore no sparking. Delayed alarm output The alarm output is activated when the battery voltage falls below the preset value for more than 12 seconds to switch off. Switching on the engine does not activate the alarm. The alarm output is a Short-circuit protected open collector output connected to the negative (minus) rail. Max. current 50 mA. The alarm output is typically used to activate an acoustic signal, LED or relay.
Load disconnection and reconnection delayThe load is switched off 90 seconds after the alarm is activated. If the battery voltage rises within this period (after, for example, the engine has been started) again up to the threshold for connection, the load will not switched off. The load is reconnected 30 seconds after the battery voltage reaches the specified voltage value exceeded, reconnected.
