Victron BCD 802- Argo Diode Battery Coupler

Diode battery couplers are used to provide continuous DC power to power critical equipment, such as an electronic engine control system. A diode battery coupler allows two or more DC power sources to be connected in parallel to power the critical load. If one source fails, the critical load will not be interrupted.

The Argo battery couplers are characterized by a low voltage drop, which can be attributed to the use of Schottky diodes: at low current the voltage drop is about 0.3 V and the nominal output is about 0.45 V.
