Simarine VIA

The Simarine Caravan Control Set consists of the SCC8 display unit and the SPDU-52 control unit. The Caravan Panel can monitor up to 6 batteries, 14 tank sensors, 14 temperature sensors and 20 independent current sensors (shunts), and control 2 relay switches. It is equipped with a Wi-Fi module to communicate with the app available for Android™ and iPhone® smartphones. The app allows access to live data, historical data, analysis functions, as well as configuration and updating of the panel.

VIA Display Panel

Information is displayed on a large 3.5" high-resolution IPS display with Gorilla® glass and an anti-reflective coating for better visibility. The device comes with 8 control buttons, allowing convenient control of all connected devices.

The menu navigation is transparent and easy to use. All changes can be made with four touch buttons below the screen. The required installation depth behind the housing is 30mm.

SPDU-52 Power Distributor

The Simarine SPDU-52 power distribution unit is a very versatile module. Its purpose is to power other modules and shunts used by the Caravan Panel. Up to 6 batteries, 24 shunts, 10 temperature sensors, 14 tank level sensors and 2 tilt sensors can be connected to the SPDU-52 with additional modules.

The SPDU-52 has 3 SICOM ports, two for additional power input/output (SICOM 1, SICOM 2) and one for the Caravan Panel (SiCOM PANEL). It also has 4 channels (solar, charger, main battery, starter battery) that measure current.
The voltage measurement on each of these channels is 0–35 VDC with an accuracy of ±0.5%. The resistance measurement on each of these channels is 0–65 kOhm with an accuracy of ±3%.


CAUTION: Install the power unit in a clean and dry place, protected from accidental spills of liquids. For further information on installation and wiring, please refer to the manual.

 

Caravan Control Mobile APP

With your smartphone, you can remotely control your Caravan Panel via Wi-Fi connection. The app allows you to monitor current (live) data from batteries, tanks, thermometers, and barographs. You can also change Caravan Panel settings on your smartphone and easily update the Simarine firmware to a new version as soon as it becomes available.
With the mobile app, current Caravan Control settings can be saved and restored later. Automatic backups of the current settings are also made as soon as they are changed. These settings are stored in a list and can be restored as desired.
 

The Caravan Panel is compatible with the following Simarine modules:

  • SC303 Digital Shunt – High-precision 300A shunt, for systems up to 75V.
  • SC503 Digital Shunt – High-precision 500A shunt, for systems up to 75V.
  • SDI01 Inclinometer – High-resolution digital inclinometer for pitch and roll with manual calibration. ·
  • SC302T Digital Shunt – High-precision 300A shunt with 2 resistance inputs for tank level measurement and 2 voltage inputs from two batteries.
  • SCQ25 Quadro Digital Shunt Module – High-precision 4x25A shunt, for 12V and 24V systems.
  • SCQ50 Quadro Digital Shunt Module – High-precision 4x50A shunt, for 12V and 24V systems. ·
  • SCQ25T Quadro Digital Shunt and Tank Module – High-precision 4x25A shunt and tank module with 4 resistance and 3 voltage inputs.
  • ST107 Digital Tank Module with 4 resistance and 3 voltage inputs.

Suitable tank sensors: Basically all resistance-based level indicators such as:

  • Wema sensor for water and fuel S3
  • Schaudt tank probe (an adapter cable may be required)
