Sikaflex®-554 is an elastic one-component STP adhesive system specially developed for bonding large components in industrial manufacturing. Sikaflex®-554 shows good adhesion to a wide variety of substrates with little pre-treatment. Sikaflex®-554 can be accelerated with the Booster and PowerCure systems.

Sikaflex®-554 is suitable for joints exposed to dynamic loads. Suitable substrates are metals, especially aluminum, metal primers, paints, sheet steel, ceramic materials, and plastics. Sikaflex®-554 shows good adhesion to a wide variety of substrates with little pre-treatment. Observe manufacturer recommendations before using Sikaflex®-554 on materials susceptible to stress cracking. Preliminary tests must be carried out with original materials to avoid stress cracking. This product is only suitable for experienced users. To ensure adhesion and material compatibility, preliminary tests must be carried out with original materials under the respective conditions.
The bonding surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of grease, oil, dust, and contaminants. The surface pre-treatment depends on the specific nature of the substrate and is crucial for a durable bond. Information on substrate pre-treatment can be found in the current Sika® pre-treatment table. The information contained therein is based on experience and must always be verified by preliminary tests with original materials.
