Sikaflex® 522 - 300 ml Cartridge in grey

Sikaflex®-522 is a low-emission, one-component STP adhesive and sealant. The product has good weather resistance and mould resistance. Sikaflex®-522 meets the highest EHS requirements and shows good adhesion to a wide variety of substrates with little pre-treatment.

Sikaflex®-522 shows good adhesion to a wide variety of substrates and is suitable for elastic sealing and bonding applications indoors and outdoors. This product is suitable for applications in air conditioning and ventilation, as well as for food processing plants.
Suitable substrates include wood, glass, metals, metal primers and paints (two-component systems), ceramic materials and plastics. Observe manufacturer's recommendations before using Sikaflex®-522 on materials prone to stress cracking. Preliminary tests must be carried out with original materials to avoid stress cracking. This product is only suitable for experienced users. To ensure adhesion and material compatibility, preliminary tests must be carried out with original materials under the respective conditions.

The bonding surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease, oil and dust. Surface pre-treatment depends on the specific nature of the substrate and is crucial for a permanent bond. Information on substrate pre-treatment can be found in the current Sika® pre-treatment table. We recommend cleaning the surface to be bonded beforehand (e.g. with alcohol) to remove dirt and grease residues.
