The original! Now with ECO-EPDM rubberFORSHEDA shock absorbers are made from ECO-EPDM rubber, a material with excellent resistance to sunlight, salt water, and ozone. ECO-EPDM rubber does not fade. The rope is simply threaded through the patented nylon clamps at each end; no further knots are necessary. New material composition for improved properties and over 60% made from environmentally friendly materials.The stretch length of the FORSHEDA rubber shock absorbers can be adjusted to local conditions:• 1 turn: of the rope around the shock absorber in calm waters without surge or waves. Little freedom of movement for the boat, low damping.• 2 turns: of the rope around the shock absorber in light surge and tidal waters.• 3 turns: of the rope around the shock absorber in open and unprotected berths. Much freedom of movement for the boat, strong damping.
